Cookies on Rankified
When you use the Rankified Website, we and our partners may store and/or access information on your device via cookies or similar technologies to process personal data. This Cookie Policy is intended to explain what cookies are, how they are used on our Platform, and how you can manage them. For general information on Shopster's data practices, please read our Privacy Policy.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that are stored by your browser on your device (e.g. computer, mobile phone, tablet) when you visit websites. Other technologies, including data storage devices on your web browser or device, identifiers that link to your device, and other software, are used for similar purposes. They are often used to make websites work, or to work in a better, more efficient way. In this Cookie Policy, we refer to all of these technologies as cookies.
Unless otherwise stated, the cookies we use are necessary for the functionality and performance of the Platform. This also includes cookies that allow you to register for the protected areas of our Platform, to purchase an item or to use the electronic payment system. Some of the cookies are deleted from your device at the end of your browser session (session cookies). The information stored in the required cookies is used exclusively to provide the requested services and functions.
Why does Rankified use cookies?
We use cookies to:
- Make our Platform work as you would expect
- Improve the speed/security of the Platform
- Recognize you when you visit the Platform again. This helps us to personalize our content for you and remember your preferences (so-called “functional cookies”)
- Determine how many visitors visit our Platform and what exactly they do when they are here. This helps us to improve the functionality of our Platform, e.g. by ensuring that users can find what they are looking for (so-called “analytical/performance cookies”)
- Record your visit to our Platform, the pages you visit and the links you click on. We use this information to better tailor our Platform and the advertising we show you to your interests. If you give us permission to send you marketing emails, we will also use this information to send you personalized marketing emails (so-called "targeting cookies").
- Third-party advertising cookies and mobile trackers may be used to activate contextual advertising or targeting campaigns.
How can I manage cookies?
When you visit the Platform for the first time or after a longer period, or when you visit our Website in a private (incognito) mode, you will see a cookie notice at the bottom of the window and have the option to either accept all cookies or set cookie preferences, choosing the types of cookies you want to have placed on your device. You can also change the cookie settings at any time by clicking on Cookie Settings.
You can set your browser to refuse some or all cookies or to ask for your consent before accepting cookies. Please note that by deleting cookies or disabling future cookies you may not be able to use certain parts or features of our website. For information on how to change or modify your browser settings, please visit www.aboutcookies.org or www.allaboutcookies.org.
You may disable the use of some third-party cookies by visiting the Network Advertising Initiative opt-out page at http://www.networkadvertising.org/managing/opt_out.asp.
You can always enable/disable the use of third-party cookies for ad personalization. See below for more information.
If you wish to disable cookies used by Google Analytics, Google AdSense or Google Remarketing services, see below for more information.
If you use multiple devices to access our Platform (e.g. smartphone, tablet, computer etc.) you will need to ensure that each browser on each device is adjusted to reflect your cookie preferences. If you change your cookie settings, this will also affect other websites you visit.
How can I refuse ad personalization trackers?
Trackers in web browser: You can refuse further tracking for the purpose of personalizing ads by clicking on Cookie settings at the bottom of the page and deselecting relevant previously selected cookie types. If you are not a registered user, the withdrawal of your consent will be recorded by the installation of a so-called opt-out cookie. This prevents your data from being collected for the purpose of personalizing ads in the future when you visit this Website. If you are a registered user, your decision to withdraw your previous consent to personalization of ads will apply across all Shopster platforms on all devices you may use.
Please note that if you delete all cookies from a browser you are using, an opt-out cookie used to record your choice will also be deleted. It may also take some time (until an app is reloaded) for this change to take effect on all mobile devices.
Use of Google Analytics
This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google. Google Analytics uses cookies to analyze your use of the Website. The information generated by the cookies regarding your use of the Website is usually transferred to and stored on a Google server in the United States. On our Platform, we have activated IP anonymization so that, within EU member states or other states that have signed the Agreement on the European Economic Area, your IP address will be abbreviated in advance by Google. Only in exceptional circumstances will the full IP address be transferred to a Google server in the United States and stored there. Google will use this information on behalf of Shopster to evaluate your use of the Website, to compile reports on website activity and to provide Shopster with additional services relating to the Website and online usage. The IP address transferred from your browser as part of the Google Analytics activity will not be associated with other data held by Google. You can prevent cookies from being stored on your computer by adjusting your browser settings; however, if you do this, certain functions of the Website may be limited. You can also prevent Google from collecting the data generated and based on your use of the website (including your IP address) and from processing this data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available at: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en
If you visit our Website via a browser for which the browser plug-in cannot be installed, you can also prevent the recording of data by Google Analytics by clicking here. This will create an opt-out cookie that prevents data from being recorded in the future when you visit this Website. Please note that if you delete all cookies placed in your browser, this opt-out cookie will also be deleted.
